4WD Models
Determine camber angle from alignment machine and correct (if adjustable) as necessary. To adjust camber on "T" models, loosen upper control arm-to-frame nuts. To increase positive camber, move both front and rear cam lobes inward. If alignment specification is not within limits, check for damaged control arms and related parts.
Fig 1: Adjusting Caster & Camber By adding or subtracting equal amounts of shims, camber may be corrected without affecting caster.
CAUTION:
Wheel runout must be checked and, if necessary, compensated for before checking and/or adjusting toe-in. Maximum steel wheel radial runout is .040" (1.02 mm) and lateral runout is .045" (1.14 mm). Maximum aluminum wheel radial and lateral runout is .030" (.76 mm). Replace wheel if beyond specifications.
