Removal & Installation: Clutch: Installation

  1. Position clutch disc and cover in installed position and support them with Alignment Tool (J-35282 ) on Spectrum and (J-34860 ) on Sprint. Clutch disc is installed with damper springs toward transmission.
  2. Install clutch cover bolts and tighten down evenly and gradually until tight to avoid possible clutch distortion. Tighten bolts to 13 ft. lbs. (18 N.m). Remove alignment tool. Lightly lubricate release bearing with grease. Install transaxle and adjust clutch cable.
