Camber Adjustment: Front

NOTE: Jounce vehicle several times to settle suspension. Release on down stroke. Check for proper tire pressure, worn steering or suspension components.
  1. To adjust camber, loosen upper control arm pivot shaft-to-frame nuts. To increase camber (positive), remove equal thickness of shims from front and rear bolts. Check that difference between front and rear shim pack does not exceed .40" (10.2 mm).
  2. To decrease camber (negative), add equal thickness of shim to front and rear bolts. Tighten control arm shaft nuts, starting with thin shim pack first (for better clamping force). Recheck camber. See Fig 1 .
Fig 1: Caster & Camber Adjustment With shims out or top mount nuts loose, vehicle weight will move control arm or strut to inboard position.
