If the engine floods, it may be cleared by pushing accelerator pedal all the way down. ECM will maintain an air/fuel ratio of 20:1 as long as throttle remains wide open and engine RPM is less than 600. ECM returns to "Starting" mode when throttle position becomes less than 80 percent.
