Circuit/System Description

NOTE:

The option content of the vehicle will depend on how many Drive Units, Drive Motor Control Modules, Battery Energy Control Modules, Battery Chargers, High Voltage Battery Heater, Chillers 14V power module, Automatic Transmission Auxiliary Fluid Pump, Temperature Sensor and Drive Unit Oil Coolers are equipped on the vehicle.

This diagnostic monitors the controller for correct internal code processing. If the processor is operating correctly then a properly patterned message is sent via controller area network (CAN) to the other controllers on the network. When the controller processor does not have correct operation then an incorrect patterned message is sent to the other controllers, which sets the DTC.
