Installation Procedure

    Automatic Level Control Module (1) - Install

    CAUTION:

    Refer to Fastener Caution .

    Automatic Level Control Module Bolt (1) - Install and tighten [4x] - Fastener Specifications

    Connect the air suspension controller electrical connector (1).

    NOTE:
    • The air lines and air suspension controller are color coded.
    • Ensure that you push the line into the fitting as far as it will go. At least part of the white marking MUST be into the top of the fitting. Remember, when inserting an air line into an air spring fitting, just because the white marks are in the fitting, does NOT always mean that the line is fully inserted and pushing the one way check valve open.

    Loosen the 5 automatic level control air compressor tube fittings (1) to allow removal of the 5 shipping plugs (2) from the air suspension controller and DISCARD.

  5. Without removing the 5 automatic level control air compressor tube fittings (1) in the air suspension controller, fully insert the 5 automatic level control air compressor tubes (3) into the 5 automatic level control air compressor tube fittings in the air suspension controller and tighten. Fastener Specifications 
  6. Slightly pull on each line to ensure proper seating is obtained.

    Connect the electrical connector (2).

  8. Install the wire harness retainer (3).
  9. Connect the electrical connector (1).

    Install the air intake filter retainer (1).

    Install the air line retaining clip (2).

  12. Install the air intake/exhaust line (1) in the body grommet.
  13. Install the spare tire and wheel assembly.

    Remove the automatic level control air supply reservoir air valve cap (1).

  15. Install CH-52667  Air Spring Inflator to the automatic level control air supply reservoir air valve (2) and set the regulator on the nitrogen tank to 16 Bar (232 PSI).
  16. Using CH-52667  Air Spring Inflator, open the valve on the pressure gage to fill the automatic level control air supply reservoir.
  17. Using CH-52667  Air Spring Inflator and the shop nitrogen tank, fill the automatic level control air supply reservoir to 16 Bar (232 PSI).
  18. Close the pressure gauge valve and remove CH-52667  Air Spring Inflator from the automatic level control air supply reservoir.
  19. Install the automatic level control air supply reservoir air valve cap (1) and tighten. Fastener Specifications .
  20. Partially lower the vehicle, but DO NOT let the wheels touch the ground.
  21. Using GDS2 tool, use short-term inflate to increase pressure to the air springs:
    • Front: 6 Bar (87 PSI)
    • Rear: 5 Bar (73 PSI)
  22. Using GDS2, verify automatic level control air supply tank pressure is at 16 Bar (232 PSI), if not repeat steps 14- 21.
  23. Remove the support and lower the vehicle.
  24. After installation, program the automatic level control module. Control Module References
  25. Verify the vehicle leveling system is out of service mode and has returned to normal operation. Clear any stored DTC codes if needed.
  26. Start the vehicle and allow to return to normal ride height.
  27. With the vehicle off the hoist and on flat level ground, inspect the trim height. Trim Height Inspection
