Installation Procedure

    CAUTION:

    Refer to Component Fastener Tightening Caution .

    Install NEW power transfer unit drain plug (2) and seal and tighten to 40 N.m (30 lb ft).

  2. Fill the power transfer unit to the bottom of the power transfer unit fill plug hole with the recommended fluid. Adhesives, Fluids, Lubricants, and Sealers , and Approximate Fluid Capacities 
  3. Install NEW power transfer unit fill plug (1) and seal and tighten to 40 N.m (30 lb ft).
  4. Install the power transfer unit heat shield. Power Transfer Unit Heat Shield Replacement
