Removal Procedure
- Disable the high voltage system. High Voltage Disabling
- Drain the cooling system. Drive Motor Battery Cooling System Draining and Filling (RWL) , or Drive Motor Battery Cooling System Draining and Filling (XFD)
Disconnect the electrical connector. (1)
- Disconnect the wiring harness retainer. (2)
Disconnect the electrical connector. (1)
- Disconnect the wiring harness retainers. (2) [2x]
Disconnect the electrical connector. (1)
- Disconnect the wiring harness retainers. (2) [2x]
- Drive Motor Battery Charger Receptacle Bolt (3) - Remove [2x]
Disconnect the wiring harness retainers. (1) [3x]
Apply a double layer of masking tape around the perimeter of the painted surfaces.
- Front Wheel Opening Molding Retainer (1) - Disengage [4x]
- Front Wheel Opening Molding Retainer (2) - Disengage [11x]
- Disconnect the electrical connector.
- Front Wheel Opening Molding (3) - Remove
Position the accessory power receptacle door to the full open position.
- Using a trim type tool, release the retainers on the top of the charge port housing (1) from the fender.
Using a trim type tool, release the retainers on the lower side of the charge port housing (1) from the fender.
Disconnect the electrical connector. (1)
- Charge Port Housing (2) - Remove
Front Wheelhouse Liner- Left Side (1) - Remove - Front Wheelhouse Liner Replacement
Retainer (1) - Disengage [2x]
- Drive Motor Battery Charger Receptacle Coolant Inlet Hose (2) - Remove [2x]
Drive Motor Battery Charger Receptacle Bolt (1) - Remove
- Disengage the Battery Charger Coupler (2) from the wheelhouse and guide the loose cable ends into the left front wheelhouse.
Body Hinge Pillar Brace Bolt (1) - Remove [4x]
- Front Compartment Upper Side Rail Brace (2) - Remove
Drive Motor Battery Charger Receptacle Bolt (1) - Remove [2x]
Battery Charger Coupler (1) - Remove
