Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the oil fill cap.
  2. GM5432171

    Intake Manifold Cover Bolt (1) - Remove [2x]

  3. Lift up on the front of the intake manifold cover (2).
  4. GM5432174

    Intake Manifold Cover (1) @ Upper Intake Manifold Bracket (2) - Remove

  5. GM5398955

    Air Cleaner Outlet Duct Clamp (1) - Loosen [2x]

  6. Evaporative Emission Canister Purge Tube (2) - Disconnect - Plastic Collar Quick Connect Fitting Service 
  7. Positive Crankcase Ventilation Tube (3) - Disconnect - Plastic Collar Quick Connect Fitting Service 
  8. Disconnect the electrical connector.
  9. GM5398967

    Air Cleaner Outlet Duct (1) - Remove

  10. If replacing air cleaner outlet duct transfer parts as necessary.
  11. Disconnect the electrical connector and remove all wiring harnesses from the air cleaner assembly.

    Air Cleaner Bolt (1) - Remove

  13. GM5399073

    Air Cleaner Assembly (1) - Remove

  14. If replacing air cleaner assembly transfer parts as necessary.
