Removal Procedure

- Deploy the assist steps.
- Raise and support the vehicle. Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle .
Assist Step Rod Bolt (2) @Assist Step Rear Bracket (1) - Remove
Assist Step Shield Bolt (2) - Remove [2x]
- Assist Step Shield (1) - Remove
- Support the assist step with a suitable jack.
Assist Step Bolt (1) - Remove [4x]
Assist Step Bracket Bolt (1) - Remove [2x]
Use mechanics wire to support the assist step rod (2).
- Disengage the assist step rear bracket (1) from the assist step rod (2).
- Assist Step Rear Bracket (1) - Remove
Disconnect the 2 electrical connectors.
- Assist Step Bracket Bolt (1) - Remove [2x]
- Running Board Control Module (2) - Remove
