Removal Procedure

- Raise and support the vehicle. Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle
- Fuel Filter Assembly - Remove - Fuel Filter Assembly Replacement (Chassis Cab)Fuel Filter Assembly Replacement (Crew Cab)
Fuel Filter Bracket Nut (1) - Loosen
- Auxiliary Fuel Tank Strap Bolt (2) - Remove
Fuel Filter Bracket Nut (1) - Loosen
Slide the fuel filter bracket (1) to the left and remove the fuel filter bracket.
Disconnect the electrical connector. (1)
- Wiring Harness Retainer (2) - Remove
- Trailer Brake Power Control Module Nut (3) - Remove[2x]
- Trailer Brake Power Control Module (4) - Remove
NOTE:
It is NOT necessary to remove both auxiliary fuel tank strap bolts.
