Removal Procedure

- Remove the front tire and wheel assembly. Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation (Front with DZW) , or Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation (SRW)
- NOTE:
Only the left front wheel is equipped with a front disc brake pad wear sensor.
Front Disc Brake Pad Wear Sensor (1) @Front Brake Caliper - Remove
- NOTE:
DO NOT use any air tools to remove or install the guide pin bolts. Use hand tools ONLY.
Front Brake Caliper Guide Pin Bolt (2) - Remove [2x]
- Remove the brake caliper and support with heavy mechanics wire. (1)
Front Brake Caliper Guide Pin (2) - Remove [2x]
- Front Brake Caliper Guide Pin Boot (1) - Remove [2x]
CAUTION:
Support the brake caliper with heavy mechanic wire, or equivalent, whenever it is separated from its mount and the hydraulic flexible brake hose is still connected. Failure to support the caliper in this manner will cause the flexible brake hose to bear the weight of the caliper, which may cause damage to the brake hose and in turn may cause a brake fluid leak.
