Removal Procedure

CAUTION:

To prevent equipment damage, never connect or disconnect the wiring harness connection from the EBCM with the ignition switch in the ON position.

  1. Place the ignition switch in the OFF position.
  2. Raise and support the vehicle. Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle

    Thoroughly clean the area around the electronic brake control module (EBCM) of all dirt and debris.

  4. Disconnect the EBCM electrical connector.
  5. Remove the EBCM bolts (1).

    NOTE:

    Do not attempt to pry or lever against the EBCM.

    Carefully separate the EBCM (1) from the brake pressure modulator valve (BPMV) by pulling straight away from the BPMV.
