Installation Procedure

    Battery (3) - Install

  2. Battery Hold Down Retainer (2) - Install
    3. CAUTION:

    Refer to Fastener Caution

  3. Battery Hold Down Bolt (1) - Install and tighten 25 N.m (18 lb ft)

    Position the radiator surge tank (3) back into place. Radiator Surge Tank Replacement (L83 L86)

    Battery Distribution Engine Compartment Fuse Block (2) - Install - Battery Distribution Engine Compartment Fuse Block Replacement (with K4B, KHB) , or Battery Distribution Engine Compartment Fuse Block Replacement (NV8) , or Battery Distribution Engine Compartment Fuse Block Replacement (without K4B)

  6. Retaining Tab (1) - Engage [2x]
  7. Connect the wiring harness connector at the right side of the fuse block.

    Battery Positive Post Clamp Nut (1) - Tighten 6N.m (53 lb in)

    Battery Positive Cable (3) - Install

  10. Battery Positive Cable Nut (2) - Install and tighten 15 N.m (11 lb ft)
  11. Battery Distribution Engine Compartment Fuse Block Cover (1) - Install
  12. Retainer Clip (4) - Engage

    Front Fender Rear Upper Brace (4) - Install - Front Fender Rear Upper Brace Replacement

  14. Connect the negative battery cable. Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection (Dual Battery) , or Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection (Single Battery)
