Installation Procedure

    Starter Heat Shield (3) - Install

    2. CAUTION:

    Refer to Fastener Caution .

  2. Starter Heat Shield Fastener (1) - Install and tighten 22 N.m (16 lb ft)
  3. Starter Heat Shield Fastener (2) - Install and tighten [2x] 9 N.m (80 lb in)

    Generator Battery Control Wiring Harness (2) - Install

  5. Battery Positive Cable Nut (1)@Starter Solenoid - Install and tighten 9 N.m (80 lb in)
  6. Electrical Connector (3) - Connect
  7. Install the right front wheelhouse liner. Front Wheelhouse Liner Replacement - Right Side (Cadillac) , or Front Wheelhouse Liner Replacement - Right Side (Chevrolet) , or Front Wheelhouse Liner Replacement - Right Side (GMC)
  8. Lower the vehicle.
  9. Connect the negative battery cable. Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection (Dual Battery) , or Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection (Single Battery)
