| Condition | A dealer may replace a B174W Front View Camera Module (FCM) and attempt to program it. After programming they attempt to perform the learn procedure (using GDS2) and the procedure will not start. The tech may find any or all codes U0073, U0101, U0140, U0146, U0401, U0418, U0420, U0422, U0423, U0447, U0452, U0566, U1960, U1962, U3000 set. |
| Cause | The replacement FCM may already have the current data files, therefore when the dealer attempts to program the module programming does not actually occur due to "same cal blocking", therefore Serial Data Authentication Configuration does not actually occur. This prevents the key provisioning from being executed. |
CORRECTION
Technician will need to access Service Programming System (SPS) and perform the Serial Data Authentication Configuration procedure manually. The Serial Data Authentication Configuration button is located to the lower left of the module list on the SPS Supported Controllers screen.
Press the button for the Serial Data Authentication Configuration. Once the configuration completes all codes will go to history.
Clear codes and only U3000 sym 54 will return.
Put the camera in learn mode following the procedure in SI and drive the vehicle to complete the learn procedure.
Clear code U3000.
