Installation Procedure
Install the generator (6) into position and loosely tighten the mounting fastener (3).
- Install the mounting stud (4) and tighten to 9 N.m (80 lb in)
- Install the idler pulley (2) and tighten the mounting fastener (1) to 58 N.m (43 lb ft)
- Install the mounting fastener (5) and tighten to 58 N.m (43 lb ft)
- Add the engine support D-ring to the generator mounting bolt (3) and loosely tighten.
Remove the support hook and D-ring from the center hole of the engine mount bracket.
- Install the right engine mount bracket. Engine Mount Bracket Replacement - Right Side
- Install the right side engine mount. Engine Mount Replacement - Right Side (LFX) , or Engine Mount Replacement - Right Side (LF3)
- Remove the engine support fixture. Engine Support Fixture (LFX) , or Engine Support Fixture (LF3)
Attach the engine harness retainer (2) and connect the engine harness connector (1) to the generator.
Install the battery positive cable terminal (2) to the B + stud (1) and tighten the fastener (3) to 15 N.m (11 lb ft)
- Install the protective terminal cap (4).
Tighten the mounting fastener (3) to 58 N.m (43 lb ft)
- Install the drive belt. Drive Belt Replacement
- Install the radiator inlet hose. Radiator Inlet Hose Replacement (LFX) , or Radiator Inlet Hose Replacement (LF3)
- Install the power steering fluid reservoir. Power Steering Fluid Reservoir Replacement (LFX) , or Power Steering Fluid Reservoir Replacement (LF3)
- Install the air cleaner assembly. Air Cleaner Assembly Replacement (LFX) , or Air Cleaner Assembly Replacement (LF3)
- Install the intake manifold cover. Intake Manifold Cover Replacement (LFX) , or Intake Manifold Cover Replacement (LF3)
- Install the right front compartment air deflector. Front Compartment Air Deflector Replacement
- Install the front compartment front sight shield. Front Compartment Front Sight Shield Replacement
- Connect the negative battery cable. Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection
