Installation Procedure

NOTE:
The front side door outside handle cannot be installed until the counter balance (1) and handle is reset.

Install the front side door outside handle (1) to the door (2).
Insert the front side door handle into the door handle pocket.
Slide the front side door handle forward securing it into the door handle bracket.

From inside the door, push outward on the door handle bracket housing counterbalance lever (1) at the same time. Slide the outside door handle toward the lock cylinder then forward engaging the handle to the housing counterbalance.
Install the screw to the lock cylinder bezel. Refer to Front Side Door Lock Cylinder Bezel Replacement .
Hold the lock cylinder bezel flush to the door sheet and turn the lock cylinder screw to a mechanical hard stop.

Connect the electrical connector (1) to the front side door outside handle bracket for the luminous reflecting light, if equipped.
Ensure that the door lock system operates properly before installing the trim.
Install the front side door water deflector.
Install the front side door trim. Refer to Front Side Door Trim Replacement .
