Preliminary Procedure Remove the front side door trim. Refer to Front Side Door Trim Replacement .
1	Front Side Door Locking Rod Procedure Release the locking rod from the retainer. Turn the locking rod down, pull upward and turn releasing it from the latch. NOTE: Ensure that the door lock system operates properly before installing the trim.
