Installation Procedure
- Transfer the front side door inside handle cable. Refer to Front Side Door Inside Handle Cable Replacement .
- Transfer the front side door outside handle cable. Refer to Front Side Door Outside Handle Cable Replacement .
- Transfer the front side door lock cylinder rod.
Install the outside handle bracket (1) and the front side door latch (2) assembly to the vehicle.
- CAUTION:
Refer to Fastener Caution .
NOTE:Install and torque the four latch bolts in proper sequence to prevent damage to the latch mechanism.
Install the four bolts (1) to the front side door latch and tighten to 10 N.m (89 lb in).
- Install the front side door outside handle bracket screw. Refer to Front Side Door Outside Handle Bracket Replacement .
- Install the front side door outside handle. Refer to Refer to Front Side Door Outside Handle Bracket Replacement .
Connect the electrical connector to the front side door outside handle bracket for the luminous reflecting light, if equipped.
- Install the front side door locking rod. Refer to Front Side Door Locking Rod Replacement .
- Install the front side door window rear channel. Refer to Front Side Door Window Rear Channel Replacement .
- Connect the electrical connector to the latch.
- Position the window to the window regulator and reinstall the rear rail to the door. Refer to Front Side Door Window Regulator Replacement .
- Remove the tape from the front side door window and frame.
- Inspect the door latch and outside handle for proper operation before install the door trim.
- Install the front side door water deflector.
- Install the front side door trim. Refer to Front Side Door Trim Replacement .
