Installation Procedure

Prior to installing the rear differential carrier assembly. Review the clutch control module programming information. It may be necessary to record the rear differential clutch service calibration values found stamped in the differential housing.

Position the rear differential (1) in the vehicle.

CAUTION:
Refer to Fastener Caution .

Install the rear differential mounting bolts (1).

Tighten

100 N.m (74 lb ft)

Install the torque tube bolt (1).

Tighten

Tighten the bolt to 160 N.m (118 lb ft).

Reconnect the electrical connector (1) for the electronic clutch control module.
Install the propeller shaft assembly. Two-Piece Propeller Shaft Replacement
Refill the rear differential assembly. Rear Axle Lubricant Replacement
Install the rear wheel drive shaft. Rear Wheel Drive Shaft Replacement - Left Side , Rear Wheel Drive Shaft Replacement - Right Side
Remove the support and lower the vehicle.
