Installation Procedure

CAUTION:
Refer to Fastener Caution .

Install the generator battery control wiring harness cable (1) to the starter solenoid (3) and tighten the fastener (2) to 9 N.m (80 lb in).

Connect the generator battery control wiring harness cable (3) to the generator (4) and tighten the fastener (2) to 15 N.m (11 lb ft).
Install the protective boot (1) over the B + generator stud.

Install the generator battery control wiring harness cable (3), to the battery fuse block (4), and tighten the fastener (2) to 9 N.m (80 lb in).
Install the generator battery control wiring harness cable (5) and the battery positive cable (6) to the battery fuse block (4). tighten the fastener (7) to 9 N.m (80 lb in).
Install the battery fuse block cover (1).
Install the upper intake manifold sight shield. Refer to Upper Intake Manifold Sight Shield Replacement .
Connect the negative battery cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection (Dual Battery) Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection (Single Battery) .
