Engine Coolant Temperature Sensor Replacement (LF3)

Preliminary Procedures Drain the cooling system. Refer to Cooling System Draining and Filling (Static Fill) , or Cooling System Draining and Filling (GE 47716) . Remove the plenum front panel. Refer to Plenum Front Panel Replacement .
1	Coolant Temperature Sensor Fastener (Qty: 2) NOTE: The upper bolt cannot be removed from the vehicle. Loosen enough so sensor retainer can be pivoted out of the way. CAUTION: Refer to Fastener Caution . Tighten 10 N.m (89 lb in)
2	Coolant Temperature Sensor Retainer NOTE: Ensure that the retainer is properly positioned prior to tightening the coolant temperature sensor fasteners.
3	Coolant Temperature Sensor Procedures Disconnect the electrical connector from the coolant temperature sensor.
