Installation Procedure
- Install the generator (1) into position on the engine.
- Install the generator mounting stud (3) and tighten to 9 N.m (80 lb in).CAUTION:
Refer to Fastener Caution .
- Install the engine harness bracket (4) and the generator mounting fasteners (1). Tighten to 22 N.m (16 lb ft).
- Tighten the generator mounting fastener (2) to 22 N.m (16 lb ft).
- Connect the engine harness connector (1) and the engine harness battery positive terminal (2) to the generator. Tighten the fastener (3) to 15 N.m (11 lb ft).
- Install the generator B + protective boot (4).
- Install the charge air cooler outlet air tube. Refer to Charge Air Cooler Outlet Air Tube Replacement .
- Install the drive belt. Refer to Drive Belt Replacement .
- Connect the negative battery cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection (without KL9) , or Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection (with KL9) .
