Installation Procedure

    Fig 1: Battery Hold Down Retainer And Retainer

  1. Battery (3) - Install
  2. Battery Hold Down Retainer (2) - Install
    3. CAUTION:

    Refer to Fastener Caution

  3. Battery Hold Down Bolt (1) - Install and tighten 25 N.m (18 lb ft)

  4. If necessary, install the radiator surge tank (3). Radiator Surge Tank Replacement (L83 L86)Radiator Surge Tank Replacement (L96)

  5. Battery Distribution Engine Compartment Fuse Block (2) - Install - Battery Distribution Engine Compartment Fuse Block Replacement (with K4B, KHB)Battery Distribution Engine Compartment Fuse Block Replacement (NV8)Battery Distribution Engine Compartment Fuse Block Replacement (without K4B)
  6. Retaining Tab (1) - Engage [2x]

  7. Battery Positive Post Clamp Nut (1) - Tighten 6 N.m (53 lb in)

  8. Battery Positive Cable (1) - Install
  9. Battery Positive Cable Nut (2) - Install and tighten 15 N.m (11 lb ft)
  10. Battery Distribution Engine Compartment Fuse Block Cover (1) - Install
  11. Retainer Clip (4) - Engage

  12. Front Fender Rear Upper Brace (4) - Install - Front Fender Rear Upper Brace Replacement
  13. Connect the negative battery cable. Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection (Dual Battery) Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection (Single Battery)
