Removal Procedure

  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable. Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection 
  2. Remove the drive belt from the generator pulley only, refer to Drive Belt Replacement (LF4)
  3. Drivetrain and Front Suspension Frame - Remove - Drivetrain and Front Suspension Frame Removal and Installation (LF4)

    Turbocharger Coolant Return Pipe (1) - Remove - Turbocharger Coolant Return Pipe Replacement (LF4 - Bank 1)Turbocharger Coolant Return Pipe Replacement (LF4 - Bank 2)

    Power Brake Booster Pump (1) - Remove - Power Brake Booster Pump Replacement

    Charge Air Cooler Coolant Pump (1) - Remove - Charge Air Cooler Coolant Pump Replacement (LF4)

    Electrical Connector (4) - Disconnect

  8. Protective Cap (1) - Remove
  9. Generator Nut (2) - Remove
  10. Starter Solenoid Cable (3) - Remove

    Generator Bolt (1) - Remove [3x]

  12. Generator (2) - Remove
