Fuel Feed Front Pipe Replacement

NOTE:

High pressure fuel feed pipes are one time use only. ALWAYS install a NEW high pressure fuel feed pipe if the pipe is removed OR the fittings are loosened.

Preliminary Procedures

  1. Relieve the fuel system pressure. Fuel Pressure Relief 
  2. Engine Rear Noise Shield Replacement (LF4) Engine Rear Noise Shield Replacement (LGX) 
  3. Disconnect the fuel feed line quick connect fitting. Metal Collar Quick Connect Fitting Service 
  4. If necessary, unclip the wiring harness from the fuel feed pipe bracket.
1 Fuel Feed Pipe Bolt [2x]
CAUTION:

Refer to Fastener Caution .


Tighten 
50 N.m (37 lb ft)
2 Fuel Feed Pipe
CAUTION:

Refer to Component Fastener Tightening Caution .

Procedure

  1. Remove and DISCARD the pipe.
  2. Ensure ALL fittings are clean and dry prior to assembly.
  3. Lubricate the fuel feed pipe fitting with silicon free engine oil. Adhesives, Fluids, Lubricants, and Sealers
  4. Inspect for leaks using the following procedure:
    1. Turn ON the ignition with the engine OFF for 2 seconds.
    2. Turn OFF the ignition for 10 seconds.
    3. Turn ON the ignition with the engine OFF.
    4. Inspect for fuel leaks.
NOTE:

If a fuel leak occurs at the fuel pump, the fuel pump will need to be replaced.


Tighten 
28 N.m (21 lb ft)
