Front Side Door Window Weatherstrip Replacement

Preliminary Procedures

1. Remove the front side door upper reveal molding. Refer to Front Side Door Window Upper Reveal Molding Replacement .
2. Remove the front side door window. Refer to Front Side Door Window Replacement .
3. Remove the outside rearview mirror. Refer to Outside Rearview Mirror Replacement .
4. Remove the front side door window frame rear applique. Refer to Front Side Door Window Frame Rear Applique Replacement .
5. Remove the front side door speaker. Refer to Radio Front Side Door Speaker Replacement .

Procedure

1. Start in the top upper rear corner of the door frame, pull the weatherstrip out of the door frame and front window channel. The weatherstrip is glued to the front channel and cannot just be pulled out, the speaker needs to be removed to release it from the front channel, this also helps for installation, also it may or may not be necessary to glue it back in, there is enough residual glue that it may work.
2. Install the window weatherstrip to the top upper rear corner of the door frame, work the weatherstrip around the upper door frame and then down both front and rear channel.
3. Ensure that the weatherstrip is fully seated into the upper door frame and down both front and channels before installing the window.
