Circuit/System Description

The Park Button Switch is located in the S156 Transmission Shift Lever Knob which is mounted on the S3 Transmission Shift Lever. The Park Button Switch has two internal sensors which are monitored by the Chassis Control Module. When the Park switch is pressed the Chassis Control Module will process the Park request and send a command signal to the Transmission Range Control Module via serial data. These DTCs will put the vehicle in Latent Fault Mode. Refer to Latent Fault Mode Description .
