Installation Procedure

  1. Place a suitable adjustable jack under the fuel tank.
  2. Install Fuel Tank (1)

  3. Install Fuel Tank Straps (2) (Qty: 2)
    4. CAUTION:

    Refer to Fastener Caution .

  4. Install Fuel Tank Strap Bolts (1) (Qty: 4) and tighten to 22 N.m (16 lb ft)

  5. Connect Evaporative Emission Canister Vent Hose (2). Refer to Plastic Collar Quick Connect Fitting Service 
  6. Connect Fuel Pump Fuel Feed Hose (1). Refer to Plastic Collar Quick Connect Fitting Service 
    7. Fig 4: Wiring Harness, Fuel Tank Filler Hose, Clamp And Canister Vent Hose

  7. Connect Evaporative Emission Canister Vent Hose (4). Refer to Plastic Collar Quick Connect Fitting Service 
  8. Install Fuel Tank Filler Hose (3)
  9. Install Fuel Tank Filler Hose Clamp (2) and tighten to 4 N.m (35 lb in)
  10. Connect Wiring Harness (1)
  11. Install Front Compartment Insulator. Refer to Front Compartment Insulator Replacement
  12. Install Driveline Torque Tube. Refer to Driveline Torque Tube Replacement
  13. Refill the fuel tank.
  14. Inspect for fuel leaks.
