Installation Procedure

  1. Install the rear wheel speed sensor ring using the J-45860  tone ring installer (1) and the J-8092  driver handle (2).
  2. Drive the wheel speed sensor ring into the axle housing until the tool bottoms against the tube.
  3. Install the rear axle shaft bearing. Refer to Rear Axle Shaft Bearing Replacement .
  4. Install the rear wheel speed sensor. Refer to Rear Wheel Speed Sensor Replacement .
  5. Install the tire and wheel assembly. Refer to Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation (6-Lug Wheel)Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation (8-Lug Wheel) .
  6. Lower the vehicle.
