CONDITION / CONCERN

Some owners may request the auto door lock feature be disable and/or they cannot find an auto door lock off selection in vehicle settings. The auto door locking feature has been standard since 2005 model year and all BCMs (Body Control Modules) are programmed from the factory to lock all doors when the transmission is shifted into gear or with vehicle speed.

RECOMMENDATIONS / INSTRUCTIONS

There is no selection in vehicle settings and no BCM calibrations released to disable the auto door locking feature.

NOTE:

Please be aware that these models have a unique double pull inside door handle that will unlock and open the door. The first pull of the inside door handle will unlock the door and the second pull will open the door.
