Installation Procedure

  1. Install the fuel tank filler pipe (4) to the vehicle.
  2. Install the fuel tank vent hose (2) to the fuel tank filler pipe. Plastic Collar Quick Connect Fitting Service 
    3. CAUTION:

    Refer to Fastener Caution .

  3. Install the fuel tank filler pipe fastener (1) and tighten to 9 N.m (80 lb in).
  4. Install NEW tie straps (3) that attach the evaporative emission canister purge pipe and fuel tank vent hose to the fuel tank filler pipe.
  5. Install the right rear wheelhouse panel liner. Rear Wheelhouse Liner Replacement
  6. Install the fuel tank filler pipe housing. Fuel Tank Filler Pipe Housing Replacement

  7. Install the fuel tank filler pipe (3) to the fuel tank.
  8. Install the fuel tank filler pipe clamp (2).
  9. Install the fuel tank filler pipe fastener (1) and tighten to 9 N.m (80 lb in).
  10. Remove the drain pan.
  11. Lower the vehicle.
