Installation Procedure

  1. Rear Suspension Lower Control Arm (1)» Install
    CAUTION: Refer to Fastener Caution .

  2. Install the rear suspension lower control arm inner nut (1) and bolt (2). Do not tighten at this time.

  3. Rear Suspension Lower Control Arm Bolt (2)» Install a NEW bolt.

    CAUTION: When removing/installing the lower control arm bolt, use care to not damage the park brake cable housing. If the housing is damaged, park brake failure may occur
  4. Rear Suspension Lower Control Arm Nut (1)» Install
    NOTE: Tighten the bolt and hold the nut.

    Tighten 

    First Pass: 150 N.m (111 lb ft)

    Final Pass: plus 90-105 degrees

  5. Rear Suspension Lower Control Arm Inner Nut» Tighten

    Tighten 

    First Pass: 115 N.m (85 lb ft)

    Final Pass: plus 90-105 degrees

  6. Install the NEW rear shock absorber lower bolt (1).

    WARNING: This vehicle is equipped with torque-to-yield or single use fasteners. Install a NEW torque-to-yield or single use fastener when installing this component. Failure to replace the torque-to-yield or single use fasteners could cause damage to the vehicle, component or bodily injury.

    Tighten 

    First Pass: 100 N.m (74 lb ft)

    Final Pass: plus 90-105 degrees

  7. Rear Suspension Lower Trailing Link Outer Bolt (2)» Install a NEW bolt.

  8. Rear Suspension Lower Trailing Link Outer Nut (1)» Install
    NOTE: Tighten the bolt and hold the nut.

    Tighten 

    1. First Pass: 100 N.m (74 lb ft)
    2. Final Pass: plus 90-105 degrees
  9. Stabilizer Shaft Link Bolt (1)» Install and tighten 58 N.m (43 lb ft)

  10. Install the electronic suspension rear position sensor linkage onto the rear suspension lower control arm. Refer to Electronic Suspension Rear Position Sensor Replacement
  11. Remove the jack stand supporting the rear suspension lower control arm.
  12. Rear Suspension Lower Control Arm Cover (2)» Install

  13. Install the rear suspension lower control arm cover push pins (1) [4x].
  14. Install the rear wheel. Refer to Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation (October 4th 2015 and Earlier) and Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation (October 5th 2015 and Later)
  15. Perform rear camber adjustment. Refer to Rear Camber Adjustment
