Installation Procedure

  1. Install the fuel tank filler pipe (4) to the vehicle.
  2. Install two new RH side cradle bolts and tighten to specification. Refer to Rear Suspension Cradle Replacement .
  3. Install the fuel tank vent hose (2) to the fuel tank filler pipe. Refer to Plastic Collar Quick Connect Fitting Service .
    4. CAUTION:

    Refer to Fastener Caution .

  4. Install the fuel tank filler pipe bolt (1) and tighten to 2.5 N.m (22 lb in).
  5. Install NEW tie straps (3) that attach the evaporative emission canister purge pipe and fuel tank vent hose to the fuel tank filler pipe.
  6. Install the fuel tank filler pipe housing. Refer to Fuel Tank Filler Pipe Housing Replacement .
  7. Install the right rear wheelhouse panel liner. Refer to Rear Wheelhouse Liner Replacement .

  8. Install the fuel tank filler pipe (3) to the fuel tank.
  9. Install the fuel tank filler pipe clamp (2).
  10. Install the fuel tank filler pipe ground bolt (1) and tighten to 9 N.m (80 lb in).
  11. Remove the drain pan.
  12. Lower the vehicle.
