Removal Procedure

    WARNING:

    Refer to Gasoline/Gasoline Vapors Warning .

    WARNING:

    Refer to Safety Glasses Warning .

  1. Relieve the system fuel pressure. Refer to Fuel Pressure Relief .
  2. Remove the intake manifold cover. Refer to Intake Manifold Cover Replacement .

  3. Remove the fuel feed pipe (1) from the engine and retainers. Refer to Metal Collar Quick Connect Fitting Service .
  4. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle (CTS)Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle (CTS-V) .
  5. Remove the underbody front air deflector right side. Refer to Underbody Front Air Deflector Replacement - Right Side .
  6. Remove the front body exhaust heat shield right side. Refer to Front Body Exhaust Heat Shield Replacement (Right)Front Body Exhaust Heat Shield Replacement (Left) .

  7. Disconnect the fuel feed pipe (1) and remove from retainers (2). Refer to Plastic Collar Quick Connect Fitting Service .
  8. Remove the fuel feed pipe (1) from the vehicle.
