Installation Procedure

  1. Install Multifunction Energy Storage Capacitor (3)
    2. CAUTION:

    Refer to Fastener Caution .

  2. Tighten Multifunction Energy Storage Capacitor Fastener (1) (Qty: 2) 9 N.m (80 lb in)
  3. Connect Electrical Connector (2)
    4. Fig 2: Ground Cable Nut

  4. Install Auxiliary Generator Battery Jumper Cable
  5. Tighten Auxiliary Generator Battery Jumper Cable Nut (2) 12 N.m (106 lb in)
  6. Install Ground Cable (5)
  7. Tighten Ground Cable Nut (4) 12 N.m (106 lb in)
  8. Install Protective Cap (1)
  9. Install Rear Bumper Fascia ReplacementRear Bumper Fascia Replacement (CTS-V)
  10. Lower the vehicle.
  11. Connect the negative battery cable. Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection (with KL9) 
  12. Perform Stop/Start Capacitor Control State Health Reset. Stop/Start Capacitor Control State of Health Reset
