Removal Procedure

  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection (without KL9) Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection (with KL9) .
  2. Remove the left rear compartment side trim panel. Refer to Rear Compartment Side Trim Replacement - Left Side .

  4. Disconnect the body harness connector (6) from the battery current sensor (5).
  5. Remove the body harness ground terminal fastener (3) and remove the body harness terminal (4) from the battery negative cable.
  6. Remove the battery negative cable ground fastener (2) and remove the battery negative cable (1) from the rear compartment.

    NOTE:

    Note the position of the battery current sensor when removing, with the tab facing downwards.

  8. If replacing the battery negative cable (2), slide the battery current sensor (1) off the battery negative cable.
