Rear Wheel Steering Control Module Scan Tool Information

The rear wheel steering control module scan tool data parameters list contains all rear wheel steering related parameters that are available on the scan tool. The list is arranged in alphabetical order. A given parameter may appear in any one of the data lists.

Parameter System State Expected Value Description
Operating Conditions:  Ignition ON
Battery Voltage - 9-16 V The scan tool displays the current battery voltage.
Calculated System Temperature - Varies This displays the calculated temperature of the active rear steering system.
Engine is Running - No, Yes This displays the current running state of the engine.
Engine Speed - Varies This displays the engine speed in RPM
Ignition Cycle Counter - Varies This displays the number of ignition cycles.
Power Steering Control Module Temperature - Varies This displays the internal ECU temperature in °C
Rear Wheel Steering Motor Torque - Varies This displays the ARS steering output torque in Nm.
Rear Wheel Steering Status - Normal, Temporarily Unavailable, Temporarily Failed, Failed This displays the current ARS system status.
Rear Wheel Steering Wheel Angle - Varies This displays the rear wheel steering position in degrees.
Rear Wheel Steering Wheel Angle Command - Varies This displays the rear steering angle commanded by the ECU.
System Power Mode - Off, Accessory, Run, Crank Request This displays the current system power mode.
Vehicle Speed - 0 This displays the current vehicle speed in km/h.
Power Steering Control Module Scan Tool Output Controls

Output Control Description
ARS to Zero Position This command will set the rear wheels to the zero degree position.
Cancel All Active Device Controls This command will cancel any active device control.
