Installation Procedure

    Fig 1: Battery Positive Cable

  1. Install Battery Positive Cable (5)
    2. CAUTION:

    Refer to Fastener Caution

  2. Install Battery Positive Cable Nut (4) and tighten to 11 N.m (97 lb in)
  3. Install Battery Positive Cable (1)
  4. Install Battery Positive Cable Nut (2) and tighten to 15 N.m (11 lb ft)
  5. Install Terminal Protective Boot (3)
  6. Engage Retainer (6) (Qty: 2)

  7. Install Starter Heat Shield (1)
  8. Install Starter Heat Shield Fastener (2) and tighten to 4.5 N.m (40 lb in)

  9. Install Battery Negative Cable (2)
  10. Install Battery Negative Cable Ground Fastener (3) and tighten to 25 N.m (18 lb ft)
  11. Install Battery Positive and Negative Cable Harness Retainer (5) (Qty: 2)
  12. Install Battery Positive and Negative Cable Harness Retainer Nut (4) and tighten to 9 N.m (80 lb in)
  13. Install Transmission Mount Bolt (1) and tighten to 62 N.m (46 lb ft)
  14. Install the left side catalytic converter. Catalytic Converter Replacement - Left Side (Front)
  15. Lower the vehicle.

  16. Install Battery Positive Cable (2)
  17. Install Battery Positive Cable Nut (1) and tighten to 15 N.m (11 lb ft)

  18. Install Engine Harness Ground Terminal (2)
  19. Install Engine Harness Ground Terminal Nut (1) and tighten to 9 N.m (80 lb in)
  20. Install Battery Negative Cable (4)
  21. Install Battery Negative Cable Ground Fastener (3) and tighten to 22 N.m (16 lb ft)
  22. Engage Retainer (5)
  23. Connect Electrical Connector (6)
  24. Connect the negative battery cable. Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection
