Front Side Door Window Regulator Replacement

Preliminary Procedures

1. Raise the window to the fully up position, tape in place to the upper door frame.
2. Remove the front side door trim panel. Refer to Front Side Door Trim Replacement

Procedure

1. Remove the front side door water deflector.
2. Loosen the window regulator guide nuts.
3. Connect the door trim panel electrical and lower regulator away from window.

Procedure

1. Disconnect the electrical connector from the motor.
2. When installing a new window regulator, remove the two window regulator guides bolts.
3. The window regulator guides must be raised to meet the window before installing the window regulator guides bolts.
4. It is necessary to reprogram the window. Refer to Control Module References .
5. Inspect the regulator for proper operation before installing the door trim.
