Installation Procedure

  1. Install the fuel tank filler pipe (4) to the vehicle.

  2. Install the fuel tank vent hose (2) to the fuel tank filler pipe. Refer to Plastic Collar Quick Connect Fitting Service 
  3. Install the fuel tank filler pipe fastener (1) and tighten to 9 N.m (80 lb in).
    CAUTION: Refer to Fastener Caution
  4. Install NEW tie straps (3) that attach the evaporative emission canister purge pipe and fuel tank vent hose to the fuel tank filler pipe.
  5. Install the right rear wheelhouse panel liner. Refer to Rear Wheelhouse Liner Replacement (Non V-Series) and Rear Wheelhouse Liner Replacement (V-Series)
  6. Install the fuel tank filler pipe housing. Refer to Fuel Tank Filler Pipe Housing Replacement
  7. Install the fuel tank filler pipe (3) to the fuel tank.

  8. Install the fuel tank filler pipe clamp (2).
  9. Install the fuel tank filler pipe fastener (1) and tighten to 9 N.m (80 lb in)
  10. Remove the drain pan.
  11. Lower the vehicle.
