Installation Procedure

Install the battery sensor (1) to the battery.

Tighten the battery negative clamp fastener (1) to 9 N.m (80 lb in).

CAUTION: Refer to Fastener Caution .
Install the battery negative cable fastener (3) and tighten to 12 N.m (106 lb in).
Install the body harness negative terminal to the battery sensor and tighten the fastener (4) to 9 N.m (80 lb in).
Connect the battery sensor connector (2).

Program all of the customer's radio station presets and set the radio clock to the current time.
If diagnosing a stop/start complaint, conduct the Battery Sensor Module Learn Procedure. Refer to Battery Sensor Module Learn to verify repair.
NOTE: Inform customer that the Stop/Start feature will not be available until the vehicle is allowed to sit for at least 3 hours undisturbed.
