Installation Procedure

  1. Install the rear window into the opening. Refer to Adhesive Installation of Rear Windows .
  2. Connect the rear window defogger electrical connectors.
  3. Disconnect the radio antenna amplifier from the rear window. Refer to Radio Antenna Amplifier Replacement (Left Side) .
  4. Disconnect the radio antenna ground coil from the rear window. Refer to Radio Antenna Ground Coil Replacement .
  5. Disconnect the radio antenna coil from the rear window. Refer to Radio Antenna Coil Replacement .
  6. Connect the rear window radio antenna. Refer to Radio, Mobile Telephone and Vehicle Location Antenna Cable Replacement .
  7. Check the radio and OnStar® system to verify reception.
  8. Install the body side rear window garnish molding. Refer to Body Side Rear Window Garnish Molding Replacement .
  9. Close the rear compartment lid.
  10. Remove the double layer of masking tape around the perimeter of the painted surfaces and the interior trim.
