Installation Procedure

  1. Install Battery Negative Cable (2)
    2. CAUTION:

    Refer to Fastener Caution

  2. Install Battery Post Negative Cable Clamp Nut (1) and tighten 4 N.m (35 lb in).

  3. Install Spare Tire (2)
  4. Spare Tire Stowage Retainer (1) Hand tighten

  5. Install Battery Cover (1)
  6. Install Battery Cover Bolt (2) and tighten 9 N.m (80 lb in)

  7. Install Rear Body Fuse Block Cover (1)
  8. Install Rear Compartment Floor Panel Trim Rear Compartment Floor Panel Trim Replacement
    9. NOTE:

    Start/Stop feature will not be available until the vehicle is allowed to sit for at least 3 hours undisturbed.

  9. If diagnosing a start/stop complaint, conduct the battery sensor module learn procedure to verify the repair. Refer to Battery Sensor Module Learn
