Installation Procedure
- Install the generator (6) into position and loosely tighten the mounting fastener (3).
- Install the mounting stud (4) and tighten to 9 (80 lb in).
- Install the idler pulley (2) and tighten the mounting fastener (1) to 58 (43 lb ft).
- Install the mounting fastener (5) and tighten to 58 (43 lb ft).
- Tighten the mounting fastener (3) to 58 (43 lb ft).
- Attach the engine harness retainer (2) and connect the engine harness connector (1) to the generator.
- Install the battery positive cable terminal (2) to the B + stud (1) and tighten the fastener (3) to 15 (11 lb ft).
- Install the protective terminal cap (4).
- Install the drive belt. Refer to Drive Belt Replacement .
- Install the air conditioning hose at the A/C evaporator hose joint. Refer to Air Conditioning Compressor Hose Replacement (LFX without V4U)Air Conditioning Compressor Hose Replacement (LFX with V4U)Air Conditioning Compressor Hose Replacement (LF3) .
- Install the radiator inlet hose. Refer to Radiator Inlet Hose Replacement (LFX)Radiator Inlet Hose Replacement (LF3) .
- Install the air cleaner outlet front duct. Refer to Air Cleaner Outlet Front Duct Replacement (LF3) .
- Install the intake manifold cover. Refer to Intake Manifold Cover Replacement (LFX)Intake Manifold Cover Replacement (LF3) .
- Install the front compartment front sight shield. Refer to Front Compartment Front Sight Shield Replacement .
- Connect the negative battery cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection .
