Installation Procedure

Install the battery.

NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice .

Install the battery hold down retainer and bolt.
Tighten: Tighten the bolt to 25 N.m (18 lb ft).

Install the front fender rear upper brace and bolts.
Tighten: Tighten the bolts to 9 N.m (80 lb in).

Position the starter solenoid cable to the battery.
Install the starter solenoid cable to the positive battery terminal.
Tighten the starter solenoid cable nut (5).
Tighten: Tighten the nut to 5 N.m (44 lb in).
Close the starter solenoid cable cover at the positive battery terminal.
Connect the negative battery cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection (w/Single Battery) or Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection (w/Auxiliary Battery) or Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection (w/Dual Batteries) .
