Installation Procedure

- Install the pitman arm onto the steering gear.
- Install a new pitman arm washer (2) and nut (1).
Tighten
Tighten the nut to 250 N.m (184 lb ft).
- Remove the steering gear from the vise.
- Install the steering gear. Refer to Steering Gear Replacement (Recirculating Ball Without LMM) , Steering Gear Replacement (Two Mode Hybrid) , Steering Gear Replacement (Hydraulic Rack and Pinion) .
- Adjust the front toe. Refer to Wheel Alignment - Steering Wheel Angle and/or Front Toe Adjustment .
