Installation Procedure

Install the rear differential assembly (1) in the rear frame.

NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice .

Install the rear differential mounting bolt (1) and nut (2).
Tighten: Tighten the rear differential mounting bolt (1) to 175 N.m (129 lb ft).

Install the rear differential front mounting bolts (1).
Tighten: Tighten the rear differential mounting bolt (1) to 175 N.m (129 lb ft).
Remove the transmission jack stand.
Install the left and right rear wheel drive shafts.
- For the left wheel drive shaft, refer to Front Wheel Drive Shaft Replacement - Left Side .
- For the right wheel drive shaft, refer to Front Wheel Drive Shaft Replacement - Right Side .
Install the rear propeller shaft. Refer to Rear Propeller Shaft Replacement (RWD) or Rear Propeller Shaft Replacement (AWD) .
Fill the differential with fluid, if needed. Refer to Lubricant Change .
Install the tires and wheels. Refer to Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation .
Remove the support and lower the vehicle.
