Preliminary Procedures
- Remove the sight shield. Refer to Front Compartment Side Sight Shield Replacement
.
- Remove the air cleaner duct. Refer to Air Cleaner Resonator Outlet Duct Replacement .
- Disconnect the MAF/IAT sensor harness connector.

Air Cleaner Element Procedure
- Reposition the surge tank bypass hose as necessary.
- Disconnect the MAF sensor wiring harness.
- Lift the air cleaner cover in order to remove the air cleaner element.
